An existing customer of ours manufactures high quality professional lighting products for the emergency services, military and outdoor use and was looking to devise a mobile lighting system built into a medium sized suit case.

Meeting with the customer the brief was to produce a presentable insert to hold securely a 12 volt battery, 4 light heads and several poles.
The case and components were taken back to High Wycombe where our dedicated sample maker set about working on several prototypes. In our opinion there was only one material suitable for the application and that was Zotefoam’s LD18 Plastazote┬«.

Over the space of a month numerous designs were submitted and tweaked until we came up with a solution that satisfied our customer’s requirements and budget.

In the end the effort was worth it and the foam insert is being manufactured in quantity on a monthly basis.
