Zotefoams: Plastazote and Evazote

Foam Engineers is a designated specialist Zotefoams plc converter. We source our Plastazote® and Evazote® direct from the Zotefoams manufacturing facility in Croydon, Surrey UK.

We are unique in bringing our wealth of foam industry experience which includes both design to manufacture technicians, and our response-based manufacturing team from our centrally located production facility near London. Foam Engineers buys direct and stocks over 500 grades of foam, both polyurethane and polyethylene, allowing us to offer a one-stop shop approach for all your foam requirements.

As one of the longest established foam converters in the UK we have the experience to provide the market with an all-round level of excellence from initial response and problem solutions through to quick turn round and reliable service.

In addition to our ISO accreditation Foam Engineers has been awarded many addition Quality Certifications which include supply to Airbus, Aerospace and the MOD.

Production processes which include moulding, water jet cutting and CNC routing allow us to manufacture complex shaped foam components from the wide range of Azote materials. Because we hold these materials in stock our lead times are generally considered amongst the best.

Zotefoams Plastazote® is a nitrogen charged cross linked polyethylene foam that is both light weight and strong. With a fine cell upmarket cell structure this foam is also available in virtually any colour. Flame retardant versions are available which suit specialized markets such as healthcare, military and aerospace. Foam Engineers stock Mil Spec Plastazote® LD24, LD33, and LD45 which meets Def Stan 81-116/3 Type GP.

Zotefoams Evazote® is a closed cell cross linked copolymer foam. This results in a soft but tough foam which can be moulded or shaped into impact absorbing components. Mil Spec materials held in stock include Def Stan 81-119/3 Evazote® EV50.

The foams manufactured by Zotefoams are unique, using a high-pressure nitrogen gas process. This is the only product available globally that uses this type of production technology and the inert, tasteless and odourless gas results in some exceptional properties.

The special characteristics of Plastazote® and Evazote® include rigidity from a flexible foam material, with good temperature and UV resistance. The foam is also tough and resistant to oils, chemicals such as solvents and diluted acids.

Extensive additional technical data is always available to answer any specific enquiry covering health and safety and environmental issues.
