Foam Engineers has been working successfully with individual clients over many years to provide tailor-made safety foam products which are sold as safety equipment or alongside health and safety related products.

Firstly, and foremost, we work on an exclusive basis with your company. We are happy to sign a confidentiality agreement, but importantly we only ever discuss the ideas relating to your product with you. Integrity and confidentiality are core values to our business.

If you are thinking of using a flexible foam in your new product design, we are happy to explore your ideas with you and offer free impartial advice with no strings attached. Once a design concept has been agreed we have engineers available to manufacture initial prototypes which can be tested and approved before you commit to any tooling and production runs.

The types of products we supply into the Health and Safety sector include body protection, seat and cushion support inserts, helmet liners, buffering pads, wrist supports, buoyancy aids, acoustic panels, air filtration foams and many specialised foam components.

The types of foams we supply includes: polyurethane foam, reticulated foam, open cell foam, Zotefoams® Plastazote, high density closed cell HDPE foam, visco elastic memory foam and flame-retardant foam.

We are unique in being able to offer both closed cell polyethylene foams and open cell polyurethane foams from our wide range of over 500 different foam types. Many of our customers require a combination of foam types and see the advantage of our wide range of products. We can combine our foams with other materials such as fabrics for comfort, polyester terry towelling for functionality and rigid substrates for strengthening.

The characteristics of the foams we supply include: pure and low odour, lightweight and durable, closed cell and water repellent, open cell for fluid and acoustic absorption, excellent chemical resistance, wide range of densities and hardness.

Many of the foams that Foam Engineers has available have been laboratory tested to confirm toxicological biocompatibility in relation to contact with skin. Tests have been conducted which confirm suitability which conforms to EU Directive 93/42/EC and ISO 10993.
