Foam Engineers was established in 1966, after its parent company Non Sag Seating had been supplying foam products to the furniture industry for the previous 10 years.

iso 9000 certificationThe company was created to pioneer the use of foam in the various specialised markets which have become known today as the technical foam market. Our rich history and involvement from the outset has allowed the company to build up a unique position in the supply and manufacture of speciality foam components.

Manufacturing takes place in our purpose built 40,000 ft2 (4000m2) production facility in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. We are centrally located to supply the newly emerging specialised manufacturing sector, being close to the motorway network which serves London, the South East and Midlands within 1 hour. Using our own transport we also deliver foam products nationwide in the UK and into France, Germany and Benelux via the Channel Tunnel.

During the years that our company has been cutting and shaping foam, you can imagine that we have every conceivable cutting process available, and it’s all contained under one roof. The basics are all there; splitting, band-knife, and die-cut press for example. But more importantly are the specialised processes which enable us to produce those intricate shapes. We use water-jet and CNC cutting to produce amazing definition in the various foams, and have a moulding and heat laminating department for shapes which cannot be cut mechanically and where surface facings and densification are required.

Foam Engineers occupies a unique position in the foam market by being able to supply both polyurethane (PU) and polyethylene (PE) foam types. We find our customers are using this service more and more as a one-stop-shop. Detailed below is our very wide range of foam types, and in addition to the generally available foams in the market Foam Engineers is a licensed distributor and stockist for the Zotefoams range of products including Plastazote and Evazote, and Crest Foam range of Safecrest Explosion Suppressant Foams.
